Mandalay

The last king of Myanmar, who was exiled to India from this very city, resided in this fallen kingdom, Mandalay. It is rich in history and famous for being the cultural and religious center. If you are curious about Buddhist culture of being a novice monk when the kids were young, make a visit to one monastery out of so many. 

Well preserved palace moat and its city wall, the artistic U Bein wooden bridge, 10 Burmese traditional arts, the ancient smaller kingdom ruins and the world’s biggest book(numerous stone inscriptions) are the main attractions.
