About Unlock Myanmar

Unlock Myanmar was founded in 2016 by a Myanmar girl who is passionate about travelling and organising trips so that people can “love Myanmar like she does”. Unlock Myanmar grew up as the country was entering an era when a new government was being elected, giving rise to  opportunities for the tourism sector, and hope for the local girl in the business world of travel and tourism.

Her trips around the country gave her the enthusiasm to start promoting the hidden treasures of Myanmar. Her dream is for Unlock Myanmar to be the bridge which can help connect travellers around the world with the beautiful destinations in Myanmar; there are many places which are not well known but will give you an unforgettable experience unlike any other. Unlock Myanmar will make your holiday planning a breeze, whether you wish to book transportation and hotels, or embark on a tailor made trip. It doesn’t matter what kind of trip you are looking for, we can help you plan it, whatever your budget or timeline.

We run our operations with experienced tour guides and travel experts. The tours that we provide are designed by local experts drawing on the experiences and feedback from our foreign guests. Our dedicated team will always try to fulfil our customers’ requests, Unlock Myanmar strives to stretch the imagination and travel possibilities in Myanmar by sending our team to new places so that we can make sure that our tours stay authentic. Our tours aim to be affordable and rewarding to everyone who wants to see the real Myanmar from locals’ perspective. Our vision is to make our customers thrilled with the tours we arrange and love Myanmar like we do.

We have two offices, with our head office based in Yangon, and a branch in Mandalay with our partner, Ostello Bello.

Our Partners

We have been working in partnership with Ostello Bello Hostel group since 2017 providing travel services and tours, the Ned Kelly Hostel in Mandalay and Hello Dawei since 2018. Expanding further in 2019, we have partnered with Scott Hostel, WEStay group (Hostel 9), Tribe Theory Startup Hostel  and The SAT Hostel in Yangon. Travelers can join the group tours which are running daily from these hostels, and we will slowly expanding our presence to other regions in the near future further connecting the whole of Myanmar with Unlock Myanmar providing a one stop service.
